The facade of the Santa Maria del Carmine Church overlooks via Carmine.
In the wall perimeter that has a rough rustication finish, there is a simple architrave portal, while the high area of the facade which was finished in more recent times, has a gable roof.
The building was constructed in the mid 18th century and later renovated in the third decade of the 20th century, an event that is documented by the 1936 date that appears on the secondary portal that overlooks via Filangieri. The interior space is rather small and has preserved the original shape, even though the colour of the stucco was applied in this century.  The church has a single nave, covered by groined barrel vault, is livened by the three chapels on each side, under big arches tht are not so deep, and ends with a wide apse where two symmetrical portals are found. The overall unity of the architectural space is reinforced by the presence of paraste and of a marked cornice above, that highlights the interior space of the nave and apse.
